WEDNESDAY WISDOM – FOOD FESTIVALS – CHRISTMAS STYLE

We aren’t quite sure where 2013 went, but we do know we loved it! But it’s not quite over yet and there are a handful of Food Festivals taken place in the remaining weeks left that are, in our opinion, going to be the best because most of them will have that o so special ingredient – CHRISTMAS!

There is something quite wonderful about wrapping up in as many layers as possible and making your way around a Food Festival fit for a king!

Trying all those tasty samples from the stalls and sipping on some warm Cider or Mulled wine…actually that may be a little early for that, but at least some fresh coffee and hot chocolate – DELICIOUS!

We are so excited about these festivals and we hope you will be too! There are some festival we just won’t be able to make due to location, but we hope some of our readers will  enjoy them instead (and report back to us!)

The No. 1 (Christmas) Food Festival to be at this year is:

TASTE OF CHRISTMAS!

Date: 21st – 24th November

Venue: Tobacco Dock

Recently I (Riannah) worked on a Brand Launch Event at Tobacco Dock and it is truly an amazing venue. It’s a 19th Century warehouse built to receive and store Tobacco shipments (obviously!), it has amazing ‘vaults’ with the bare brick showing. I cannot wait to see this festival featured here, I imagine they will make it a mini Christmas not to be missed!

THE WINTER FESTIVAL

Dates: 15th November – 24th December

Venue: Southbank (YAY)

This is the festival that you can visit and revisit and revisit. Running for over a month, we might find ourselves popping to it after work or during the weekend. You will find every mince pie, mulled wine and candy canes to suit everyone tastes, truly one not to miss!

GERRARDS CROSS CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL OF FOOD AND DRINK

2ce0515bc6e4

Dates: 6th – 8th December

Venue: Memorial Centre, Gerrards Cross

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVE FAIR

Dates: 6th – 8th December

Venue: Business Design Center, Angel

There are of course many more festivals to look out for across the UK and if you have any must see, please post them in the comments section!

We are so excited for Christmas and the food, baking and love that comes with it! Don’t forget to try out some Christmas themed recipes and share them with us, we will be posting various ideas all the way up to Christmas too!
