WEDNESDAY WISDOM – REALLY GREAT ROCKY ROAD

It’s recipe time and for this weeks Wednesday Wisdom we’re sharing FLOUR’s Really Great Rocky Road recipe. It’s so easy and is a great one to get kids, friends, housemates and grannies involved in too!

INGREDIENTS LIST:

125 grams soft butter
300 grams best-quality dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa solids) broken into pieces
3 tablespoons golden syrup
100 grams rich tea biscuits
100 grams mini marshmallows
2 x crunchie bars (optional)
100 grams peanuts (optional)
Handful of dried cranberries
Popping candy – if you wish!
 
1.MELT butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a saucepan.
 
2.KEEP half a cup to one side.
 
3.ADD crushed biscuits (you can use ginger nuts when you don’t use peanuts for a different flavour), peanuts, cranberries and marshmallows and sliced Crunchie bar when slightly cooler. Move fast before the chocolate starts to set though!
 
4.POUR into a grease proof tray and add the set aside chocolate to the top. Here you can get creative and add a layer of mini marshmallows to the top or popping candy – perhaps some silver balls or M&Ms!
 
5.FREEZE for a few hrs and then slice into small squares!
