WEDNESDAY WISDOM – LONG WEEKEND!

longweekend

Easter is fast approaching and we’re full of the joys of Spring at the prospect of a lovely long weekend. This Wednesday Wisdom is advice on how to make sure you make the most of the prolonged time off in FLOUR style!

1. CHAMPAGNE TEA

Spend an afternoon with your best friend putting the worlds to right with miniature food and lashings of Champagne.

2. LOVED ONES

An extended weekend means you can travel that bit further to spend some quality time with friends, family and loved ones. You can stay put or travel far, stop for a moment and relish in the freedom a long weekend brings. Wake up early or stay in bed, go out all night or have a cosy night in. Go for long walks and laugh till you hurt all with the people you love!

3. PAMPER YOURSELF

Whether nails, massage, a haircut or a long bath is your thing, make sure to take a moment to pamper yourself this bank holiday! Have some ‘ME’ time!

4. HAVE A BAKE OFF!

OMG I want to make these so so bad! Cute Easter bunny rolls - use your favorite raised yeast roll recipe, and shape them like eggs, then poke two holes for eyes and pinch the ears up. Let rise, re-poke the eye holes if needed, and bake.

Sweet Easter Tree

We’re suggesting baking…what a shocker! However, Easter DOES provide a great opportunity to make lots of delicious spring coloured treats! So, it’s imperative we encourage you to don your apron and get baking.  You can make all sorts of Easter treats from shredded wheat nests to and Easter biscuit tree!

Ready for spring :)

This long weekend take the time to make a pretty  flower arrangement, be it for your Easter table or as a present or just to brighten up your home. If the skies are still grey then theres no stopping you from bringing Spring inside. There’s so much inspiration to be had and just some of our favourites are above. Get inventive with the vessel you use for flowers; try a watering can, nest, bucket, bottle or egg cup. Choose woodland flowers and typical spring flowers to get the best Eastery feel: crocuses, daffodils, bluebells, snowdrops, peonies. There’s no size restriction and even the smallest vase with one or two flowers in brightens up a room! Share with us any Easter arrangements you do!

Most of all – ENJOY and HAPPY EASTER!
